I spent an amazing weekend at Weetacon this past weekend, and surprisingly have very few photos to show for it. I figure what photos I didn't take,Fredlet did. :-) Wendy is truly an incredible hostess and never fails to deliver a truly magical time for everyone.
My weekend started by picking up my partners in crime; Amy and Fredlet from the airport and we headed the car north to the land of the Frozen Tundra and deep-fried cheese curds. Spending the extra time with Amy and Fred was such a treat - they are awesome gals, and I enjoyed having them all to myself for a few hours. All we needed was JenTrance to round out our foursome and we were set! Rooming with Fredlet is always a joy, and I wish that California (and Maryland, and Canada, and Kentucky, Chicago and...and...and...) wasn't so damn far away. Thank God for Facebook y'all!
I miss everyone so much and was already having withdrawals on Sunday. Spending that much time with such amazing friends is truly a wonderful thing, but when it is time to say 'good-bye' I think it is even harder since we all know we won't be seeing each other until next year.
This weekend was such a delicious time of renewing friendships with old friends and making new friends - I can't even begin to describe the awesomeness of the weekend. I was rather star struck about meeting legends like Jenfoo, Eben, Jennette, WendyMC, Plain-Jane, but holy cow I worried for nothing! You guys are rock-stars!
I'd like to write this super long, clicky love entry, but reality knocks, and I have sick kids and parent/teacher conferences, a new 3rd shift schedule to adjust to and activies to wrangle. I was beyond happy to come home and hug and kiss my loved ones - my kids were happier than happy to see me, and I couldn't stop hugging them and my husband. 4 days is a really long time.
I hope to muster up more energy later on in the week for an entry like that, but right now, I'm headed for some down time now that a certain crabby and boogery member of our family is finally napping.
